Light That Keeps Shining

 

 

At times we cannot see the Light
For the dark clouds that surround,
But when we take a closer look…
A shining Light can be found.
It may not brighten the problems--
Hardships and trials we go through,
But that Light is always shining…
A beacon for me and you.

It is found in the deep places
Where secret things are revealed--
Our Lord knows what’s in the darkness…
Nothing from Him is concealed;
Strength and grace for the task we face
Come from His mighty power,
And as we live and move in Him…
His Light brightens the hour.

It shines through the darkest valleys
As we look above and pray,
And when we think all hope is gone…
It’s still shining day by day.
Friend, turn your eyes on Christ the Lord
When the path is dark and grim,
You’ll see the Light That Keeps Shining…
Just keep your focus on Him.

He knoweth what is in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him.”
