To God Be the Glory!

 

 

The great Creator of all
Hung the glorious moon in space…
Then decorated the sky
By putting each star in place.
What an awesome God we serve!
Holy and righteous is He;
Let’s praise Him for creation--
Such wondrous beauty we see…
To God Be the Glory!

But the truth that thrills my heart
More than any other one,
Is that “God so loved the world,
That He gave His only Son.”
He knew each of us by name
When dying upon that tree…
I’ll never cease to praise Him
For the blood He shed for me…
To God Be the Glory!

The tomb could not hold our Lord--
Hallelujah! He arose…
Jesus is alive and well,
The Victor over all foes.
This world takes on a glow, friend,
When we know that we are His;
All glory is due His Name,
For His works and Who He is…
To God Be the Glory!

 

 “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name;”
“To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty,
dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
