Assurance Prayer

 

 

O Lord God of the universe,
We know You hear each prayer;
Be with us in this time of need,
Assure us You are there.

As we sense Your loving presence
And rest ourselves in You,
There is not a trial or hardship
That we can’t tunnel through.

Teach us all You would have us know
As we struggle in this plight;
May every single step we take
Be pleasing in Your sight.

Life gets so difficult at times
And our flesh is so frail,
But we know we can do all things--
Through Christ, we cannot fail.

Thank You for blessed assurance
That we’ll reach Gloryland;
Just assure our hearts day by day
You hold our feeble hand.
