Following Christ

 

 

Born into the Kingdom of God,
We’re followers of Christ,
And as we closely follow Him,
We reap such joy in life.

We still go through pain and hardship
As those outside the fold,
But our Shepherd is always there,
Our weary hand to hold.

As we enjoy sweet communion,
He hears each prayer we pray,
And He becomes much more precious
With every passing day.

Following Him through the dark vale,
He is our hope and Light,
And no matter how dark the path,
Our lives are rich and bright.

And when days are sunny and fair,
He’s still our hope and stay--
Our refuge from the evil one,
Who would lead us astray.

There is just no greater pleasure
Than walking in God’s way,
Oh, what great blessings are ours…
Following Christ each day.

 Jesus said: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them,
and they follow me”
(Jn 10:27)
