Many Afflictions

Many afflictions trouble our souls
In this fallen world of sin,
But the LORD delivers from them all,
Shielding us from evil men--
Men who are used by Satan’s forces
To steal, kill, and destroy--
Praise God! We’ve a hedge of protection…
Securing our peace and joy.

His servants who trust Him shall flourish,
Delivered from a dark state.
And not one shall be found desolate,
Heading for that Golden Gate.
The enemy may oppress God’s child,
But he can never possess,
For the soul purchased by Jesus’ blood...
Is forever safe and blessed.

Circumstances may be hard to bear,
We may not know what to do,
But when we look up and do our best,
Our God always sees us through.
No affliction should trouble us, friend,
For we know He has a plan,
And we always have the victory…
Resting in the Shepherd’s hand.

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD
delivereth him out of them all.”
“The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none
of them that trust in him shall be desolate.”
(Ps 34:19, 22)
