A Joyful Song

 

 

A joyful song within the heart
Is sunshine to the soul,
It lights lives with a melody…
Heard far beyond the fold.

The tempo may be fast or slow,
The song keeps playing on,
Every note, be it high or low…
Lifts to great heights unknown.

The words, testifying of Christ,
Spring up from deep within,
For they are planted there by Him…
A hedge against all sin.

Oh, Christian, sing that joyful song,
Let its melody ring,
Sing it with all your heart and soul…
That other folks might sing.
