Life's Purpose

We live, not for our own pleasure,
Not for gain of land or gold,
But to make a lasting difference…
In a never dying soul.

The cross of our Lord reminds us
Of the awfulness of sin;
Let us leave folly behind us…
Reaching out lost souls to win.
The field is ready to harvest,
Let us work while there is time;
Laboring in the Lord’s vineyard…
We reap great blessings sublime.

Only one life to live on earth,
Very soon, it will be gone;
Let us lead souls to new birth…
As gospel seeds are sown.
Hear the Master calling today,
Calling to me, and to you,
“Go to the lost, perishing world….
The laborers are so few.”

We live, not for our own pleasure,
Not for gain of land or gold,
But to make a lasting difference…
In a never dying soul.

  “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
“The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few:
pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth
labourers into his harvest.”
(Mk 16:15; Lu 10:2)
