Nothing Between

 

 

Nothing between my Lord and me,
This is the prayer of my heart,
Walking closer to my Saviour…
Nothing to keep us apart.

Worldly pleasures hold no candle
To the light of our dear Lord;
To succumb to sin’s enticements
Is something we can’t afford.

Sin separates us from our God,
And always takes such a toll,
But walking close to our Shepherd…
Oh, what sweet peace fills the soul.

I want to live a holy life,
More of God’s precious word glean,
Hiding it deep within my heart…
Till there is Nothing Between
My Lord and me.

 

 

 The Psalmist said: “Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee.”
(Ps.119:11)
