Our God is There

 

Has there ever been a time, my friend,
When you sought God’s forgiveness of sin
And found He was not there?
When we humbly seek His mercy and grace,
He is always in that awesome place…
He hears our every prayer.
Our God is There!

It is His delight to cleanse the heart,
And the fruit of righteousness impart…
Purifying within.
He replaces sin with holiness,
Filling emptiness with joyfulness…
He is our closest Friend.
Our God is There!

Whenever you feel depressed and blue,
There is a sure remedy for you…
Remember God is there.
There has never been a time, my friend,
When a broken spirit did not mend…
Bowing in earnest prayer.
Our God is There!

 

“If I ascend into heaven, thou art there: If I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.”
(Ps 139:8-10)
