Children of Light

 

 

Created in Christ Jesus, our Lord,
Now the children of light,
Let us walk in love and holiness…
Standing for truth and right.
May the fruit of righteousness in us
Change this world all around,
As others see the light of Jesus…
And enter holy ground.

Apart from Christ, our hearts are depraved,
Filled with sin, guilt and shame –
Our own righteousness as filthy rags…
Praise God, our Savior came!
No longer in a state of darkness,
Unable to do right,
We have power to resist evil…
We are Children of Light.
