Precious Fruit

 

The fruit of the Holy Spirit
Is precious fruit indeed,
For its everlasting goodness
Comes from God’s holy seed.
That seed of Truth and righteousness,
Implanted in the heart,
Begins to grow and bear sweet fruit…
Right from the very start.

All who know Jesus as Savior,
And forgiveness of sin,
Have an everlasting garden
Of precious fruit within.
Some plant the seed, others water,
But all growth is from God,
And there is much fruit to be shared…
As on this earth we trod.

Friend, let us share this precious fruit
With everyone around,
That the seed of God’s sweet Spirit
Might fall on fertile ground.
Let us tend the gardens we see
With tenderness and care,
That the harvest be plenteous…
As Precious Fruit we bear.

 

 Jesus said: “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit;
so shall ye be my disciples.”
“I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and
bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain”
(John 15:8,16)
