A New Man
God can take a cold, stony heart,
That has no life within,
And, by His grace, new life impart…
Washing away all sin.
A new man walks in righteousness,
Obeying God above,
Delivered from his selfishness…
Filled with the fruit of love.
Old places he once patronized,
No longer see his face,
He has a new set of desires…
Saved by amazing grace.
Now, more careful where his feet trod,
He follows the Lord’s hand,
With one purpose – to please his God…
For he is A New Man.
“Put off … the old man, which is
corrupt according to the deceitful lusts”
“Put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness
and true holiness.”
(Eph 4:22, 24)
