Guard Your Heart

 

When you are tempted to give up
In the midst of a deep sea,
Call upon your loving Savior…
He will hear your earnest plea.
And when pleasures of sin entice
And you’re tempted to give in,
Remember His great sacrifice…
You have dominion over sin.
Guard Your Heart.

When the road is dark and dreary
And the future so unclear,
Just focus your eyes on Jesus…
He’ll remove all doubt and fear.
Though your life be torn in pieces
From worldly seeds you have sown,
The love of God never ceases…
He’ll cleanse and carry you on.
Guard Your Heart.

Should the sin of vain pride enter –
Self on the throne once again,
Humble yourself before your God…
He’ll exalt you by His hand.
And when there are no trials or tests
And the path is smooth you trod,
Make sure you do your very best…
And give all glory to God.
